Referees
We are excited that you are interested in employment as a referee at the Beaverton Hoop YMCA. Please read the following information and submit the appropriate documents. Have additional questions? Don't hestitate to Contact Us.

YMCA Background Check Paperwork
This paperwork is required for the YMCA to place you on their payroll and complete a criminal background check. This is important due to the fact that we will be working directly with children. Do not worry about the driving and credit checks; these will not be completed because they are irrelevant to refereeing. If you haven’t already done so, please complete the documents and email, fax, mail or deliver them to the Beaverton Hoop YMCA.

League Information
Fall and Spring League games played on weekends.
Winter (Oregon West League) games played on week day evenings.

Expectations For All Referees
1. Referees are expected to be on the court and ready to work 10 minutes prior to their first game.

3. Referees are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner always keeping safety as the number one priority.

4. Referees are expected to hustle at all times to ensure they are in a position to make the correct call.

5. Referees are expected to place final scores on the game sheets at the conclusion of each game.

6. Referees are not allowed to speak on the behalf of the Beaverton Hoop YMCA about consequences that extend further than the game currently being officiated.
